Two Great Cookie Options for Purim
Hamentaschen are filled-pocket cookies or pastry recognizable for its triangular shape. To celebrate the holiday of Purim, Jews read the book of Esther in which there is a villainous character named Haman - for which this cookie gets its name.
The shape of the cookie is achieved by folding in the sides of a circular piece of dough around a filling placed in the center. Hamantashen are made with many different fillings. This year, the Kosher Cookie Company has four flavors of classic hamentaschen available.
As is also our legacy, we've combined two types of baked good into one! If you are a fan of a linzer cookie, then you will love our triangle-shaped linzertaschen! These powdered cookies come with raspberry or chocolate filling.
